Grand Ballroom B (Hyatt Regency)This panel will highlight ways doctoral students can successfully develop and refine their skills as they start on the path towards becoming a research scholar. Panelists will discuss ways to utilize Graduate Research Assistantships (GRA’s) to foster independent research in the dissertation, as well as present the benefits of postdoctoral fellowships. Skills needed to refine and carry out a consistent research agenda as a junior faculty will also be offered. International students’ unique circumstances on securing post-doc and faculty positions will be highlighted.
