This interactive session is designed for deans and directors, faculty, doctoral students, and others fostering research initiatives within social work education programs, to explore new directions for building their research plans both in the U.S. and globally. It will include a discussion of specific strategies for building research infrastructure and capacity, building connections to strengthen social work as well as interdisciplinary proposals and grants, and enhancing community agency/university research partnerships. In addition, the panel will discuss strategies to stimulate funding support for social work research as well as tools for addressing administrative challenges in grant submission and the implementation process.
