NIMH has made research that seeks to reduce mental health disparities both within and outside of the United States a priority. In this session, we will discuss funding initiatives currently available that are focused on addressing disparities through services and implementation research to achieve equity in accessibility, quality of care, and mental health outcomes, particularly in low-resourced settings. In addition, we will share information about our efforts to support the training needs of under-represented groups to develop a diverse research workforce in mental health. This will also be an opportunity for SSWR members to learn about current or emerging funding priorities and potential funding opportunities that build capacity to address these disparities.
