The Rural Behavioral Health SIG convenes social work scholars and professionals who are committed to addressing the behavioral health needs of underserved rural populations. The SIG provides an opportunity for social work scholars to share innovations and knowledge development occurring in this area, in order to spur collaboration and connections. The SIG also provides a venue for identifying and discussing ways to improve access to behavioral health services in rural areas. Finally, the SIG focuses on applying the Grand Challenges for Social Work to rural behavioral health.
