Session: Social Work Scholars in LGBTQ+ Research SIG (Society for Social Work and Research 24th Annual Conference - Reducing Racial and Economic Inequality)

As a new SIG, Social Work Scholars in LGBTQ+ Research will primarily focus on (a) discussing the current scientific landscape as it relates to LGBTQ+ communities, (b) support and explore prospects for social work engagement in LGBTQ+ research particularly in areas such as practice, policy and research, (c) broker mentorship relationships and collaborative research opportunities among communities of LGBTQ+ identity and (d) increase and strengthen the presence of social work scholars interested in LGBTQ+ research at SSWR through the development and encouragement of LGBTQ+ specific pre-conference workshops, conference panels, and presentations.
