In this symposium, clinicians and researchers will present on three projects from the VA War Related Illness and Injury Study Center's Institutional Courage Initiative. The first presenter, will share experiences of Veterans and their providers as they relate to Institutional Betrayal and Institutional Courage. The second panelist, will describe how Institutional Betrayal impacts Veterans' help-seeking behaviors. The third, will introduce how systematic and evidence-informed intervention development methodology can address Institutional Betrayal and Institutional Courage across systems. All three projects used qualitative methodology including coding of verbatim transcripts of interviews with Veterans and subject matter experts; use of a priori knowledge derived from clinical training, practice, and the literature; and prolonged engagement including member checking.act 12468 modified by 152.133.6.131 on 4-27-2021-->
