(a) This SIG has provided SSWR with "Statement on the Impacts of Covid-19 on Immigrants and Refugees during July 2020; (b) This SIG has conducted a virtual roundtable meeting on the "Impacts of Covid-19 on Immigrants and Refugees in the US" in collaboration with the Florida International University (FIU) - R. Stempel College of Public Health and Social Work in June, 2020; (c) This SIG has four sub-groups: 1. Immigrants’ and refugees’ mental health and wellbeing, 2. Migration policy, 3. Forced migration, and 4. Research on immigrants and refugees by specific region. These sub-groups were created based on the proposed subjects by the SIG members. Sub-groups meet separately during the year (d) This SIG has 3 conveners to support and coordinate its activities: Mitra Naseh, PhD, now Associate Professor at the Portland State U. School of social Work (mahma2@pdx.edu); Michaela L. Zajicek-Farber, PhD, LCSW-C, BCD, now Full Professor at the Catholic University of America (CUA)-National Catholic School of Social Service (NCSSS), and Mary Lehman Held, PhD, now an Associate Professor at University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
