This workshop aims to help participants design mixed-methods studies by developing knowledge and skills around key features of mixed-methods research any population and content area. The workshop uses community-engaged best practices to guide the research cycle, from engagement of community members to developing study aims to collecting and analyzing data and dissemination. Participants are encouraged to bring a current research project or an idea for one, and the instructor will comment on as many specific projects as time allows. You will become familiar with mixed-methods study designs, how to apply them to your project, and how to draw a diagram that represents your design. You will learn how to mix qualitative and quantitative data and create joint displays and both Implementation matrix-sequential and matrix-convergent designs. The instructor will use presentation, small group discussions, consultation, and Q&A to conduct the workshop.
