Session: Research on Social Work Practice Editorial Board (Society for Social Work and Research 28th Annual Conference - Recentering & Democratizing Knowledge: The Next 30 Years of Social Work Science)

Previously our editorial board meetings were held privately during SSWR, in a separate meeting room allocated to us by the SSWR convention organizers. Only Editorial Board Members were invited. This year we propose to open our meeting up to all SSWR attendees so they can learn about the operation of the journal and provide feedback on improving this. We noticed that in 2023 the Journal of Community Practice held an Editorial Board meeting at SSWR and was featured on the SSWR program. We are seeking to have a similar meeting, open to all, and listed in the program. This will help familiarize attendees with the journal and encourage them to submit suitable manuscripts to it for publication.
