The rest of the posters are presented in-person in the Poster/Exhibit Hall located in Marquis BR Salon 6, ML 2. The planned session promises to explore the following: a.) Ongoing research on determinants of health where participants will briefly introduce themselves and share the related research briefly b.) Thoughts on the role of interdisciplinary research in exploring social determinants of health disparity c.) Present interdisciplinary grants and strategies to obtaining them c.) Instances in which the research informs practice, d.) Success in highlighting social justice and culturally responsive practices when working with other disciplines e.) Topics for future collaborations and create meeting opportunities via Zoom. OTHER THINGS TO ADD: Social workers have been operating from various ecosystem models since the inception of our field. We have in-depth knowledge and insights and are in a position to contribute substantially to interdisciplinary research. The SIG will seek to encourage increased social work presence in multidisciplinary research by offering practical support through this meeting, and other monthly meeting will occur on Zoom among those members who agree to do so. Most importantly, the SIG will advance social work practice and research and contribute to the elimination of global health disparities.
