Designing effective, localized interventions requires timely and granular data, yet such data is often unavailable or unreliable. This interactive workshop introduces practical spatial data science techniques to help social work researchers and practitioners visualize and analyze community needs. Participants will learn how to collect crowd-sourced spatial data, engineer features like proximity to services, and integrate these insights with existing datasets to identify service gaps and support policy decisions.
