Given the continued emergence of sport social work, this Special Interest Group seeks to foster new connections and coordinate efforts of vested partners for the advancement of this unique social work specialization. Conveners will include leaders from the Sport Social Work Research Lab, Alliance of Social Workers in Sports, and Sport Social Work Journal (collectively known as the Sport Social Work Collaborative), as well as The LiFEsports Initiative. Both institutional and individual collaborators—as well as those interested in learning about this emerging arena—are welcome to engage in a facilitated discussion aimed at further advancing practice, education, policy, and research related to sport social work.
